Our Approach

Drumming beats, dancing feet, all things with strings and voices that sing

With a friendship that spans many years, Melbourne based, Gee Whiz Kidz was formed by a few old high school friends and have now enjoyed performing music for families for over a decade. The band play a range of instruments including double bass, violin, banjo, didgeridoo, guitar and drums.  When performing live, they are joined on stage by their lovable dancing cow, Moova, and always have everybody up “moo-ving” and grooving.

Our Story

A didgeridoo and the odd kazoo

Playing cool folk rock songs for the little folk that rock, Gee Whiz Kidz have performed at many parties, festivals and events. Highlights along the way have been Port Fairy Folk Festival, Fun4Kids, St Kilda Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival, Sydney Road Street Party, Royal Melbourne Show, Zoo Twilight, and Queenscliff Music Festival just to name a few.

After a small hiatus Gee Whiz Kidz and their boogying bovine are back with a new full length album - “Moova’s Big Adventure". It’s jam packed full of fun songs inspired by Moova’s recent travels. There’s tunes about neglected worms, whistling birds and their musical friends in the outback, a rabbit’s twitching nose, and all the things your imagination can inspire and encourage you to do. If you just open the door, there’s a whole world to explore!
